The “Monster”, which was first described in Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s 1818 novel, has been re-born over the past 40 years, with America’s Republican Party as the mid-wife.  In Shelley’s metaphorical story, “Doctor” Victor Frankenstein represented a society which created a Monster and, then, could not control its own creation.  And today, the Republicans seem to be following that original script.

Over these past decades, the GOP has embraced many of its most fringe elements—misogynists, racists, bigots, religious zealots, and other movements that personify hatred at their very core.  All the while, the Republican Party has not done anything to rein-in this vile hatred, which it has allowed to breed. Somewhat like Frankenstein’s Monstor.

Recently, as a former Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan endorsed the GOP’s Monster for President, the Party tried to disavow him, but Trump still hasn’t. All the while, the Party doesn’t appear to have tried to hard to eradicate the Hate and Supremacist Groups. And with Trump, the party’s problems have come home to roost.  The Republicans, however, fail to realize that you reap what you sow,
