Andrew Solomon wrote the linked article, “The Reckoning”, for the New Yorker, http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2014/03/17/140317fa_fact_solomon?utm_source=tny&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=weeklyemail&mbid=nl_Weekly%20(28). Most people who know me, agree that I am never at a loss for words; however, this article is so very exquisite that there is no way that I can add anything whatsoever to it.
This is the summary and analysis of a series of personal interviews, by Mr. Solomon with Peter Lanza, the Father of the Adam Lanza, who was the “shooter” at the Sandy Hook Elementary School, in Newtown, Conn., on December 14, 2012. At the bottom, right, you can advance from one page to another, and its a rather lengthy article.
Mr. Solomon was born in Manhattan, and spends his time between New York and London. He is an author, writing on such topics as: Psychology; Politics and Art. He has a Ph. D. in Psychology, from Jesus College, Cambridge, England. Perhaps the Area of his Doctoral Dissertation, Attachment Theory, might provide some insight into the depth of his analysis in this Interview. He is also a Lecturer in Psychiatry at the Cornell Medical School.
