ROMNEY (and RYAN) and WOMEN’S RIGHTS

Most people already know that Mitt Romney is Pro-Life, against any Abortions (including for Rape and Incest), stresses that he will de-fund Planned Parenthood and is against any sort of Contraceptives. With his selection of Congressman Paul D. Ryan (R-WI), he further cements these views.

Both candidates side with the Catholic Bishops who are fighting against President Barack Obama’s Affordable (Health) Care Act (ACA), which requires that insurers make Contraception available to all women, including those who work for Catholic Hospitals and Universities, at no cost. Houses of Worship are exempt.

The Bishops are apparently already fighting the Contraceptive issue somewhat as they jockey with the “Nuns on the Bus”. The Ladies, who have the support of the overwhelming majority of Catholics, are second-guessing the Vatican with regard to many Women’s Issues–including the ordination of Women as Priests. Historical rumor has it that, at one time, there even was a Woman Pope.

As most people know, Mitt Romney is a Mormon–not that that should be any reason to deny him the Presidency–while Congressman Ryan is a Catholic. Recently, Mitt Romney has suggested that his views also support those of The Catholic Church. Just to point-out how out-of-touch Mr. Romney is, he doesn’t seem to understand that, by far, most Catholics don’t side with The Bishops–maybe even the Nuns on that Bus don’t. Catholic Women, of Child-Barring Age, by and large, use Contraceptives.

It makes me sad that people like this are for having unwanted children being born in this country, but don’t want to pay for any programs or benefits to help take care of unwanted children. What is wrong with these people?!?! It makes me so angry.

It is not just for not funding Programs, Like so-called “Welfare”, which is really Aid to Dependent Children and Food Stamps. By de-funding Planned Parenthood (which only uses approximately three percent of it’s revenus for Abortions), the “Right” would also be de-funding what is, in many cases, the only source of Pre-Natal Medical Care for many Women in Rural Areas (think of Migrant Farm Workers). Doctors don’t want to see patients in many of those areas. R & R (Romney & Ryan) nhave a Real Dis-Connect on this subject.
