Some of the secrets to earning a great deal of wealth can be learned in a game called “Tiny Tower”, which you can play on your iPhone or iPad. You can read more about it in Dana Milbank’s linked column, “Romney’s Bain Games”, in the Washington Post, http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/dana-milbank-romneys-bain-games/2012/08/07/92aae1dc-e0c7-11e1-a19c-fcfa365396c8_story.html?hpid=z2.
Although the article compares the game of Building More Towers, and amassing Tower Bux, to a career at Bain Capital, I personally believe that the concepts apply to other Private Equity Firms, and the Financial Services Industry, in general. Perhaps Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas’ character in the 1987 movie, “Wall Street”) best summed-up Wall Street’s view on life: “GREED IS GOOD!”
